If I was a gunslinger from the Wild Wild West....

First things first...read about Belle Starr below....she is pretty impressive.....

Belle Starr

February 5, 1848 – February 3, 1889

Myra Maybelle Shirley was born in Carthage, Missouri. As a young lady, she attended the Carthage Female Academy where she excelled in all subjects and became an accomplished pianist. She grew up with Cole Younger and later befriended the James brothers. When the outlaws of the James-Younger gang needed to hide out, they often stayed at the Shirley family farm. It wasn’t long before Maybelle was introduced to a life of crime and earned the nickname “The Bandit Queen.” In 1866, Belle married Jim Reed, a former Confederate Army guerrilla. Jim Reed tried to live the honest life of a farmer, but when that didn’t pan out, he fell in with the Starrs, a Cherokee Indian family notorious for stealing horses. Along with his wife’s friends, the Jameses and Youngers, they planned and executed many daring heists. Jim was killed while trying to escape from the custody of a deputy sheriff who had arrested him for one such robbery. After the loss of her husband, Belle made her living organizing and planning robberies, as well as fencing stolen goods. When she was unable to bribe the law into looking the other way, she would seduce them to get what she wanted. She married Sam Starr in 1880, and two years later, both of them were convicted of stealing horses. They were released a year later and went right back into lawlessness. Belle was murdered on Feb. 3, 1889, two days before she was to turn 41. She was shot in the back while riding home from the general store. Her killer has never been identified.

Ok, now that you have read about Belle Star....I will begin with this....Philly and I went and saw the movie Lawless a couple of weekends ago...See below for info about Lawless...

Lawless is a 2012 biographical drama gangster film directed by John Hillcoat based on Matt Bondurant's 2008 novel The Wettest County in the World about his grandfather and great-uncles in Prohibition-era Franklin County, Virginia.[3][4] The novel was adapted into a screenplay by Nick Cave, and the film stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain,Jason Clarke and Guy Pearce. The film competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.[5][6]

NOW......I will get to my point....I wish I was back in the wild wild west days...I have had so many people show up lately that are so infatuated with mine and my families life that I just laugh hysterically at how hilarious it all is...for whatever reason Philly and I are the focal point of a lot of hatred....hatred that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever....for example hatred based on our age difference....like that affects anyone but us....or hatred based on the fact that I don't want to have children of my own, but he has three.....HOW ARE OUR LIFE DECISIONS AFFECTING ANYONE BUT US??????  Wait for it....wait for it.....HELLO!!!!  THEY AREN'T.....that is why I wish I was a gunslinger from the wild wild west......I would be feared.....nobody would mess with me....nobody smart anyway.....and if they did....well I would take the law into my own hands.....A LAWLESS LIFE......I know it seems extreme.....I mean things can't really be that bad right???? Well you are right....things aren't bad at all....things are actually so wonderful with Philly and I and our little family...remember the lyrics from Taylor Swift's song "Ours"????

That's right....Philly says we are the pretty little things referred to in this song...actually he means our life is AWESOME, and people are jealous so they want to try and point out our faults....I understand jealousy...I really do....I also understand how people can get caught up in jealousy and turn that jealousy into hate....the hate becomes and obsession, and there you have MISERY....all I have to say is I know my life rocks and Philly and I are awesome, but please pick a new target....your obsession is becoming a little annoying and at times downright pathetic.....so like I said...if I lived in the WILD WILD WEST....if the name Heather Cosby was merely whispered grown men would shake in their boots, and rattle in their saddles, because I would live a life of LAWLESSNESS!!!

Things that make you go aaaaaaaaagh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever had one of those days when EVERYTHING makes you want to scream???? Yeah me too...

Today started out all well and dandy....at least for me....I had to take Hailey home this morning, and she popped right up out of the bed with no argument, we left the house on time, she was a chatter box the whole way there, and I even had time to stop for breakfast at Chick-Fil-A.

Now rewind back to about 5:45 am....the hubby's day didn't go so well....he decided to take two Alabama pictures to work with him today to hang in his office...he broke one of the frames on one trying to get it in his truck...Fail #1....he then forgot his ID card, which he has to have to do ANYTHING...so he had to come back home to get it....Fail #2......he forgot his sunglasses for the second day in a row....Fail #3......he was late for work......Fail #4.......

Now....the failures are starting to come my way.....I backed into a tree in our yard about two months ago, and we are just now getting the means to have it repaired...hello...new house under construction....equals BROKE....all the time.....so the insurance adjuster comes out today and gives me my estimate.....$611.00 after the deductible is taken out.....HELLO....the body shop already told us it would be over $1300.00 to have it fixed....Fail #1 for me......

I then happen to be on Facebook when Bronwyn Hanahan Art is giving away their daily deal.....FREE SHIPPING!!!! YES MA'AM....I'M ALL OVER THAT!!!! I commented first on the daily deal, so I win it....I was super pumped....maybe this day won't be so bad after all....I pay the invoice....See below the cute Halloween Decor I will soon receive!!!!

I am so pumped about getting this daily deal that I immediately sent Philly an email about how I actually got the daily deal with free shipping, and his response is...You are seriously going to pay $50.00 for that?.....uh.....well.....yeah....I don't know if it is the fact that I actually love all of her cute door decorations, or if I really just got caught up in the moment and wanted to win...either way this is a super cute Halloween decoration...whether it's worth $50.00 or not....I will let you all be the judge of that.....but....back to the matter at hand....the hubby was mad about the $50.00 that may or may not have been a waste of money......Fail #2 for me....

I am throwing this fail in short and sweet...just so you know why all of this is getting to me today....I started today....EPIC FAIL #3 for me.....Yuck....a week of torturing cramps that feel like a small family of leprechauns dancing in my uterus wearing steel toed boots that have metal cleats on them.....ugggghhhh I am getting even more depressed typing that....

Oh and I forgot to put the chicken in the crock pot before I left this morning....I even laid it out last night so I wouldn't have to fight to get it out of the package this morning....Fail #4 for me.....

Oh one more....I just had to spend all morning on a conference call where I said a total of 5 words.....FAIL #5......

What makes a Mama?

Well I survived my second Mother's Day as the Step Mama in the Cosby Household...It was right nice actually...I got a sweet card, and a pedicure!!! I get that tomorrow!!! So pumped about that part!!! The reason for this post is that even though I  had a really nice Mother's Day, I got my feelings hurt by one of my very own step-babies....first things first, only Hailey Bug even told me Happy Mother's Day besides Philly....that kinda stunk....I feel like I am very much a Mama to my step-babies...I give them money when they need it (most times), I give them rides, I act as a buffer between them and the wrath of their father, I do their laundry, I cook supper, I do dishes, I clean their bathroom, and I clean our house, I help with homework, I go on field trips, I listen to stories of happiness, sadness, and anger, I offer support when it is asked for, and I take pride in my kids....now that I have listed only a fraction of the duties that it takes to be a Mama....I know that all you Mama's out there are shaking your head saying yep yep....I know exactly what you are talking about.....well like I said now that I have mentioned a portion of the duties that it takes to be a Mama....let me start my story....We are sitting at the table Sunday discussing how extremely wonderful our Mother's Day dinner was (Phil's Mama and I - Phil cooked it - Chicken Alfredo, and it was the bomb!)...anyway....as we are sitting there...Phil says okay I cooked it, who's cleaning it???? Cricket Cricket Cricket....

Ok so after the initial silence...I say "I'm not cleaning the kitchen, it's Mother's Day, and I don't have to do anything."  Coleman looks at me from across the table and says..."Why does it matter to you if it's Mother's Day?  You aren't a mom."

Insert Cricket Cricket Cricket here too....No not really because I immediately said "Excuse me?"  My feelings were immediately hurt....like REALLY HURT....but never mind that....Philly did jump in here and say "Oh if that's how you look at it, how about all those times when you come to her when you need something?"  Coleman says "Well she isn't a real Mama...she hasn't had any kids of her own."

Wait....What am I then???  I know I haven't actually "had" any kids of my own...but I love these kids and I would do anything for them...for starters like putting up with crazy ex-wives that are their mama's....and that takes A LOT!!!! For anyone out there putting up with Ex-Anything's, I feel ya....it stinks lol....anyway back to the matter at hand...Lately there have been several things happening that let me know...that I am viewed as their father's wife....not their step-mom...and definitely not a mother in any way...It really, really hurts...I mean they call me their step-mom...but being called something and someone actually believing you are that something are two different things...I guess I am just wearing my feelings on my shoulder...but I like to think of myself as a Mama even though I didn't physically have them...Why don't they see it that way??? 

Broken Bones, Tears, and Casts!!!! Oh My!!!

Well.....Hailey-Bug broke her finger :( It was just a matter of time before she suffered an injury...she is a kiddo...its what happens lol.....She broke her finger at softball practice last night....poor kid....I know it had to hurt....I never broke any fingers, but I have had my fair share of broken bones, bruises, and pains....She went to school after she got her cast today....so I know she will be JUST FINE!!! Her favorite color is red right now, so her cast is red....pretty cool looking if you ask me!!!! Philly said I had to draw a BIG ALABAMA "A" on it :) Her Auburn Fan Mama would love that HA HA!!!! Well, I just thought I would let you all know that she is going to be just fine, and there will be an update in two weeks when she goes back for her follow up!!! Here is a picture of her AWESOME CAST to make you SMILE!!!!
